FALL 2024 SCHEDULE

While Fall is still underway, we are setting the wheels in motion for Spring Semester and our 9th Annual Show at Hunter College where parents, families, and friends get to watch their dancer perform on a professional stage with lights, projections, beautiful costumes, and professional choreography! It is a highlight of the year and something the community as whole looks forward to.

This Spring we have even MORE fun planned with new classes we can’t wait to introduce to you! In addition to new courses, we have also added additional times for some of our most popular classes: Ballet/Jazz, Intro to Hip-Hop, and Ballet/Tap.  Because we live in the city where Broadway dreams become a reality, we thought it was absolutely necessary to start a Dance, Act, Sing for Broadway class to train the next generation of artists who will surely take Broadway by storm!

Lastly (and our personal favorite addition) is our very own Gymnastics program! We are bringing in trained, master gymnastics instructors to help your dancer achieve all of their tumbling goals!

Our gymnastics program is designed to meet students where they are and take them to the next level. You can expect our gymnasts to build a solid foundation in the sport. The focus will be mat gymnastics and beamThey will be exposed to handstands, forward rolls, cartwheels, roundoffs, walkovers, bridges, and build upward from there. As students advance, they will be exposed to aerials, back tucks, back handsprings, and so much more. The sky is the limit!

We are offering studio group classes and private pod classes.

Dance Workshop aslo offers private lessons for dancers looking to fine tune specific skills and techniques, as well as for special events! We love to choreograph and help celebrate special occasions in your life like “first dances” flash mobs, bar/bat mitzvahs, and any other event choreography you wish to throw into your special day!  We will curate music of your choice and style. Tell us what your vision is and we will help bring it to life!

The Dance Workshop Company Experience

Did you know Dance Workshop has competitive performance companies? Every year, Dance Workshops holds company auditions in March for dancers interested in taking their training to the next level. Throughout the year, not only are dancers challenged in classes in various genres throughout the week, but also have incredible performance opportunities at major sporting events, community spaces, and at competitions with some of the best in the country.  The company commitment is from September-June. Dancers are required to take a minimum of four hours a week in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Hip-Hop. As they advance, students are given the opportunity to compete in solos, duos, and trios as well as pieces with their specific company.  If this sounds like something your dancer would be interested in, email as at dance@danceworkshopny.com
